I meant to ask if anyone else had the mail delays happening too.
This exercise is teaching me though.
Firstly, digging through /home/rik/.mozilla/default/ofu7f00d.slt/Mail/Local Folders/CLUG.sbd/ ..etc reveals there are more headers available than Mozilla-View-Headers-All will actually display.
Secondly, that shows my timestamps on the original post to be mostly like yours, except the 1st "From":

I know I am a bit of a newbie and I have only just started with SSH due to [clip] ...
Further, I have noticed a 12-hour difference in my host's server time, from my local time, when doing FTP - this could be in wider effect on the ISP's network (less one hour's unadjusted daylight saving presently?).
But lastly, I'm wondering if Mozilla itself could be misbehaving, & not displaying all the mail it gets immediately upon receipt? Could clock differences cause that?

ie your ISP (gollum.snap.net.nz) received it at 14:57:54 but didn't spam
check it until 20:43:28. I conclude that gollum is probably probably
underpowered to cope with scanning its mail queue.
It is probably faring just as badly with mail being sent to you. therefore mail takes a long time to reach you.
Time for another ISP?
Drastic, but possible!

Does anyone know where in the works CLUG posts are being held up? There doesn't seem much consistency between subscriber receive times. - Host ISP spam filters? Any remedies?
