Hi there,

I've just had my first brush with gentoo, being a RedHat/Fedora/White box user at home, and Debian at work. I use Big Brother ( http://bb4.com ) for monitoring stuff, and installed it on a gentoo client. The problem is that ps -ef returns only locally owned processes for a non superuser account, and BB uses this to check that various processes are running. Is there some way that this can be changed? I got a few sniffs from google that there may be some stuff I can change in /etc/sysctl.conf, but if someone has already built this wheel...

Cheers,

Steve.

PS. Anyone interested in how to install Oracle 10g on Whitebox ( RHEL 3.0 clone )? - I won in the end (:
