Down boy! This isn't a vendetta. It's just a lot of folks weary of silliness. No-one starts out as being anti-RMS. The man brings it out in people. He has a valid point. RMS & FSF & co did a lot of hard work to make some much needed tools. Good on him. No-one hates him for that. But FSF released these tools without an advertising clause in the license, so he can't make us use the name. Some folks honour his request when they're asking nicely - but ranting is not asking nicely. The output of GNU commands like uname is not proof that those who distribute the tool are endorsing anything in particular. I hand out knoppix CDs, but I don't endorse the output of fortune -o Yuri
