This email is comming at you from my windows partition.
This is because KDE will not work. When I give the startx command X starts and fails. I can start X with icewm but only use gnome apps. If I try to use KDE apps they fail to start.
Here is the contents of my $HOME/.xsessions-errors file;

Any suggestions?
