You'll probably have to upgrade your kernel to fix that. USB 2.0
support is pretty buggy in anything but the latest kernel releases.

What interrupt problems? The fact that interrupts are being shared is
not a problem and doesn't cause problems unless one of the PCI devices
sharing the interrupt is broken, e.g. crap Creative cards that generate
NaN interrupts/second for no good reason and hold on to the bus for too
long.
