I am bouncing around now.
New floppy disk drive arrived today while I was at work.
Got home put new floppy disk drive into computer. Checking all connections to make sure nothing was wrong.
Did a couple of test reformats in win 98 to make sure disk drive works. It did work.
Made an ipcop boot disk and that worked straight off.
I then installed ipcop using the boot floppy and cdrom. Went perfect
The next bit of trouble I had was because I though that the setup part of ipcop automatically checked for the com port of my dailup modem and it took me a bit of time to figure that it haden't.
Any way I appear to be online now

As for the installfest... I now have an ipcop box... so how do I unregister as I no longer need to be shown how to installl it

Last night I only had web browsing capability through port (80) to night. I was thinking about it today figured ipcop was a bit different to my last proxy, FreeProxy. I had to set up free proxy to use each tcp port and tell it what to expect(ftp, socks, http, pop, smtp etc). But with ipcop (some thing thats not in the manuals I read or googled is you just have to point your machine to the gateway and it then works email and every thing. Thats why I could not send this email last night(I was trying to figure what port to point mozilla to)
