In the > meantime I need to work and need the space - so I think I need to remove > Mandrake. yes, may I suggest the following - i assume xp or win2k as your original OS. download the systemrescuecd from here, or if you are still in chch give me a call on 3288001 and i will give you one, or email me and I will send you one. boot the cd and run the program qtparted by typing run_qtparted from the command line. use qt_parted to delete the mandrake partitions and enlarge your xp partition back to full size. reboot with your xp cd and get to the point where it offers to run a repair console. run the command fixmbr to restore your boot loader.
