It must be possible, but I've never come across this. I've generally connected my exploras to headless machines, so maybe that's why I've not found it.
While I'm not suggesting that you don't need GLX - what is it about your machine that requires GLX ? -----Original Message----- From: Jim Cheetham [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 30 July 2004 11:11 a.m. To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: ncd explora X terminals I've recently started playing with one of those NCD Exploras that are floating around ... Things are fine, in general - it boots (with a static config), and finds xdmcp providers on my network ... and now I've remembered Xaccess it finds my kdm session from my workstation ... But ... it can't log in, kdm crashes after verifying the password, and log entries /var/log/kdm.log tell me that it Explora can't do GLX. Fine. Unfortunately my workstation won't login to itself if I don't have the GLX module loaded ... So I seem to be at an impasse. Does anyone know how I can tell X that the Explora doesn't have GLX, but I do? Or some other suitable invocation ... ? -jim
