While Mac OS X does share a great deal of its history with NeXTSTEP (or,
more accurately, OpenStep), it's a bit silly to refer to Mac OS X as
"NeXT".  As similar as they are in many ways, they are quite different
in others.

Mac OS X certainly fills the gap for people looking for the next best
thing to NeXTSTEP.
