Hi, something I've noticed a few times in the past, and don't understand. Here's an example...
I have just copied some log files into a folder with kbear via konqueror to an smb path. When I then sort the destination folder by date modified (in konqueror) , I see that all the files that were there previously were modified last friday at the same time (7/10/2004 12:30) and the files just copied there were modified today (11/10/2004 03:00) (no, I didn't start work at 3 this morning!). It would appear on the surface I'm being lied to, though am sure this is just highlighting a lack of understanding on my part. Actually the files in that folder should show a file for each day for the last x months, and this is what is shown viewing the folder contents from a windows box. Can anyone explain to me what is going on here? It's not about the use of kbear itself, as I've seen this when copying files between locations using other methods. Roger
