The CLUG will be holding a fix-up evening and AGM:
Wednesday 27th October 2004 at 7:30pm (that's tomorrow night)
Location:
St Albans Community Resource Centre 1074 Colombo Street, Christchurch (former St Albans Library)
This is open to _everyone_ on the list. Everyone is encouraged to attend, whether you have a Linux install to fix, expertise to offer, or neither. Some 5 people have put their names forward for assistance, so there is room for a few more.
Those bringing PCs for attention or display will also need to bring:
- Network lead if you have one - Extension lead - Multi-box - Phone lead if you want to work on a dial-up modem - Peripherals that you want to work with, e.g. digital camera, USB drives
The AGM:
The CLUG (which has no legal status except as - maybe- an unincorporated
association without rules or constitution) held a form of general
meeting in January 2003 at which a committee [1] was elected (cajoled?)
into running meetings, installfests and the like. It is time for another election. There are also moves afoot to move meetings to the reportedly more salubrious surroundings of the St Albans Communty Centre (from the Sydenham Community Centre).
So the agenda will be:
1. Apologies 2. Election of Committee 3. Discussion and vote on shift of premises 4. General Business
Hopefully we can dispose of this business PDQ - there are computers to fix!
With apologies to Nick for ripping off some of the text from his earlier notice.
