Just upgraded ipcop from 1.3 to 1.4.0 (by inserting the 1.3 backup disk when prompted in the 1.4.0)
I have a RED/GREEN configuration. My RED nic stays "unset" even when I set it in setup. The result is that the RED interface is not brought up on startup or after running setup. ifconfig shows only eth0 (GREEN) and lo. Have swapped the nics around with an extra spare I had, but all work OK with manual intervention as below. Hardware is nothing special, P133 with 80Mb RAM and two 3COM 3C590s.
If I manually run /etc/rc.d/rc.red from the command line, everything bursts into life and runs like it used to before the upgrade (except it now has the spiffy new web GUI and I haven't got dansguard running again yet). eth1 (RED) comes up with correct settings.
Couldn't find anything relevent on google, does anyone have any suggestions on getting the RED to stay "set" and come up at startup?
