Vatsala I've been where you have in terms of moving between distros, and seem to have settled with SuSE. I'm fairly new to linux, but really like how things are going on this installation, have put it on my laptop and am in the process of installing at work too.

I now find I seldom boot to windows at home (and there are good reasons why I do when I do). I would not describe it as buggy, I would describe my lack of understanding of how to drive it as lacking - very different!

Give it a chance, a few weeks maybe, to learn how to do things with it. There are quite a few people on this list running suse, even I might be able to help you.

But you've really got to stop posting in the way you do. It's no surprise that you're not getting the answers you think should be coming from your posts. Be very concise and specific about what the problem is. Leave out the extraneous stuff - if it's not about the issue, don't waste your time and ours by typing it! Google first before posting - some people say you should have looked there for 5 minutes first. Explore menus! Expect things to be different from windows. And when people reply to a proper question from you, read it properly, answer their questions, follow their suggestions.

Or back to windows you will certainly go.

Hi,

Am seriously considering going back to W#$%ows... as am finding SuSE/KDE annoyingly buggy... and am not getting replies to tech questions in order to resolve said bugs, etc. At least there has been success with getting the modem going under Linux, and getting connected with Linux. Thank you for the help in this regard. Wishing well, always...
