AFAIK Telstra are everything Telecom is only in Aussie. Telecom might be a royal PITA but at least they are *our* PITA.


This might mean that there is a glimmer of a possiblity of us having some control over them via politicians or whatever. I know that sounds almost ridiculously naive but I reckon we would have more of a hope of controlling our own than Telstra or BT.
