If it is a valid SuSE package then you can just right-click on it and select
Install with YaST (from memory).

Why are you not using the very good YaST to search for and install packages
anyway?

Robert

Gudday!

Umm... am trying to figure out how to install (in SuSE)
downloaded RPM packages, and also packages that come in the .gz format. So,
how-to? Is it done with YaST? Haven't had ANY success with this, as yet. :|

By the way, the fix previously given by Brad for the touchpad
issue may not have worked because it was a Gentoo fix...?
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml Would/should it work okay in
SuSE?
