I ripped the music CD files and encoded to .ogg with kaudiocreator.
I then tried burning the .ogg files to a CD-R disc with k3b...and ran into a 
bug within k3b....problem loading more than about 7 .ogg files for burning.
I also noted that if whilst burning the CD-R I select 'music cd' my personal 
CD player is able to read the disc and play the songs...if when burning I 
select 'data cd' my player cannot read the disc.

I'll give the suggested command line and gui apps. a go...thanks all.
