Contemplating upgrading my home mailserver from stable to testing

My home mailserver (I use the term loosely as its just fetchmail, exim, 
procmail and spamassassin) is currently running Debian stable which 
includes spamassassin 2.20.
I would like to upgrade to a later version of spamassassin that includes 
bayesian filtering and to do so the simplest thing seems to be to 
upgrade to testing.
Before I do this I'd like the thoughts of Debian-ites on the LUG list 
before I do this as I'm scared I may inadvertently break something.
