I hate turning the machine off to poke around inside and swap disks over
when i can spend hours trying to work out how to do it over the network
;-)

and the man asked if it was possible to do it over the network :-) and
its not a difficult learning curve.

but what you say is perfectly sensible. what if the dvd machine is a
laptop and you cannot move it to the other boxes? or the target machines
are laptops and cannot take a full size dvd drive?
