OK guys and gals, I'm at the end of my tether!!! How the hell are new users supposed to be able to get this distributiion going on a dial-up modem if one with 5 years of Linux experience (admittedly with Mandrake) can't !!! ???
Hell! Do I miss those MDK wizards! I have spent most of the last two days fartarsing about and all I've succeeded in doing is getting a connect to my ISP, and this only because I directly edited /etc/chatscripts/peers to set phone numbers, loginname and password. So what have I missed? Any clues most appreciated. The wiki pages at the ubuntu site don't appear to contain the bits I'm missing either. Cheers John
