Most home office LANs would be running like that, or has ADSL more than half the consumer market now?

The only reason a box would have both is when it's acting as a
gateway, in which case a firewall OS is called for.
Mdk is a desktop OS. IPCop is a firewall OS.


And RedHat9 has a downloadable firewall script, that runs with iptables. Feeds laptop, no obvious problems as yet.
(Other than can I find the equivalent for an easily ubdateable distro like Ubuntu or SuSE? - later.)
