My job is to join 3x6 images to a new one, and scripting to feed 18 images at a time to montage was easy and worked first go. What bombed out was to feed Nhundred images to montage to get N*100/18 output images. How many images are you trying to join? How big are the images (identify -ping <images)? How big do you want the output image? (All in pixels pls.) Depending on levels of megalomania, your machine may be simply underspecked.
