It's not really supposed to be used from the command line. It's an excellent utility as far as I'm concerned. xpdf is pretty terrible too, given that the author has a strange business model surrounding his license, so doesn't appear to be that interested in accepting patches. It's now looking like there'll be a freedesktop.org fork sometime soon, shared between KDE and GNOME. Glynn
