I managed to get the ATI9700 on mine to work with out any problems.
Gigabit ethernet no problems at all.
The LED's can be set up with out to much difficulty as well.
Sound works perfectly.
I've managed to get CPU throttling working.
And also managed to get wireless to work via the NDIS driver.
The card reader loaded the correct modules but I've not managed to test that.
what about the 802.11g card? (if yours has one)
As mentioned above managed to get wireless (802.11b/g) up and running via the NDISwrapper http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/
It's a broadcom chip of some sort. I didn't manage to test it properly as had no wireless access point.
whats the battery life like? I would have thought an A64, eben a mobile version, might chew through it.
67Wh Battery gives about 2h 30min with the CPU throttled to 800MHz and screen backlighting down to about 30%.
what X server are you using?
Works fine in both Mandrakes version of x.org .7 something and Ubuntu's Xfree 4.3.
Nice specs on that dse one, 60G hard drive, .5G RAM, 16:10 screen - sweet in a notebook.
Yes they're pretty nice specs. The construction seems reasonable as well at least the A2K I've got compared favourably with a work HP/compaq nc6000.
