Yes.
Apart from Nick's expertise, that's the whole point of having a 'Fest.
We can share both files and compilation resources across a local network.
In order to do that you _have_ to have a network card. Don't worry, I can lend 
you one for the duration. Otherwise you can always buy yourself one, they are 
only $15 - $25 or so. cheaper if you get a s/h one. but do please try to get 
a 100MHz one.

btw, onto what sort of hardware are you proposing putting Gentoo?

The local mirror is linux.jetstreamgames.co.nz. It's pretty good.
You should be able to get 20M an hour absolutely consistently.
