Some good news.
The IPONZ people are currently accepting emails on the patent:
Schedule: IPC Party Name ,MICROSOFT Patent Number: 525484
prior to the formalised complaints process going forward. I will let you know when I receive the email address but an email objecting to the patent will also do some good and the idea of sharing the costs for putting in an objection would be worth it, although, no offense to Carl, it might be better to support the SMGL people as they have the most 'offical' standing in this.

No way I can afford to spend $337.50 complaining about a patent. And I don't think I am the best one to do it anyway. What really bothers me is the cost of objecting to a patent. My complaint to the Ombudsman is being "evaluated", which probably means they've got it, but haven't looked at it yet. In any case, I won't expect to hear much for a while.
And you're right about IPONZ's website. Took me quite a while, and much frustration, to find the correct pdf, and the prices.
