The getty that init is trying to run that is attached to the various ttys is dying, and respawning too fast. Input/output error indicated to
me that there is some sort of hardware failure, or that the kernel uart
drivers for that console have sh*t themselves.
Given that the system is OK after a reboot, probably the latter.
I guess it would be worth hooking up a screen/kbd for a while - it would be interesting to see if the problem is just the network card, or whether the whole system has borked. The log suggests that it's the whole system :-)
