I'm happy with my old canon dv camera, so am way out of date anc cannot
comment on your selection.

However... I'm not at all happy with the firewire port that is on my Tosh
laptop. It's a pile of poo, and I don't know whether it'll ever be
supported. My desktop ( a shuttle ), however, with a built-in onboard port
works a dream.

It's just quality brands like Toshiba ): Apparrently it's all in the BIOS.
