all in one session, short and punchy. Stick to a max of, say, four or 5
languages and give them 20 minutes each.

the 20 mins will naturally expand to 30, and after 2 to 2/12 hours most
people will be sick of it.

Its not a suggestion for in depth exploration, but a quick and probably dirty 
comparison.

stick to:

bash, perl, python, ruby, php

Because they are the most common, and are where we have expertise. I
know you like smalltalk, but IMHO its not a glue or scripting anguage
like the rest are.
