The "scriptometer" provides a number of example scripts for a wide range of languages:

print a simple string on stdout
access command line parameters
access environment variable
return exit code error (non zero) if a file does not exist
call an external program and check the return value
...

Public health warning: The site is mostly interesting as a guide to the syntax and structure of the various languages. Reading the "scores" may be dangerous to your mental health.
