Probably. When I had a quick look round I decided mp3 was too much of hassle, and that if I was going to get a player, it would be ogg capable or remain in the shop. Period. What I'd do in a digitising job is to take the uncompressed audio and archive them with ogg/flac (lossless!, ratio about 30%, relatively CPU intensive). Storage is big these days. Afterwards compress to ogg or mp3 if must, reducing file size and quality as the situation demands. If I change my mind afterwards, just go back to the flac archive and compress again.
