I have the paper article too, as the online doesn't seem to have the
nice piccies.
I'd like to do this at home, we have two heat pumps. Would be nice to be
able to turn them on from work then come home to a nice temperature.
Exactly.
Also mine, when asked to act as a dehumidifier, is meant to keep the
temperature above 15 degC. Well, the Pigin` English manual implies that.
Reality seems different. The temperature sags to a point where there is
not much dehumidification happening.
Has anyone either
1) Used DSE's XH8286 with linux, or
2) Managed to successfully use LIRC to capture and reproduce the output
of a remote control.
I've read the docs, tried and failed with a standard IR sub-board made
specifically for the MB, but that was nearly a couple of years ago now,
and i gave up in disgust. This was meant to be a solution for my HTPC,
but i didn't have the time to diagnose anything, so just threw money at
the problem and got a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
