So, I've got myself a P3 600 DeskPro EN SFF. Problem is, there is only one HDD power connector, and, guess what, it is connected to the HDD. I tried to do a floppy boot (SUSE 9.1), but no go.
Is it electrically sensible to connect a CD drive to the DeskPro, where the CD drive is powered by another computer's power supply? Or will I risk the magic smoke escaping from various parts? Cheers, Carl.
