That's what I feared.

I was told ( by SlashDot ) that Paradise has a proxy which makes it appear
that all customers have the same IP number. As far as the other end is
concerned that makes it look as if they are being attacked. I fear that we
have been blocked by SourceForge at the IP number level.

Currently talking to Pardise support. They appear to be at a loss and are
talking to "the technicians".

I have just explained in great detail that to the ouside world all connections
from Paradise members appear to come from a single IP number, that of the
Paradise proxy. Naturally enough when the other ends sees that many
connection coming from one number they think they are under a DoS attack and
block the number.

Apparently i.e. according to the Pardise help desk, SourceForge have suffered
a DoS from numbers within the 202.0.x.y IP number block and have blocked the
whole class B net. Essentially the Paradise response is:- "We can't do
anything about it. Thanks for calling. Click".

A precise explantion as to my current state of mind is not printable here, so
I will merely expostulate "Oh Botheration".

I would be very grateful if someone with more sway than I could persuade
Paradise to re-configure their proxy so that all the different client IP
numbers are transmitted to the other end.
