Yes my son's school has a linux box running smart net. It doesn't stop them having crap IT policies, including kids seeming to play endless games from dodgy websites, difficulties with emailing teachers about anything vaguely confidential (because at some time the teacher will have enabled his email account on every damned computer in the classs, meaning every kid can click on the outlook express button and read the teachers email), I could go on.
Anyway, linux on the server is very common in schools, its their desktop policies we should be interested in. Produce me a linux desktop that does all the stuff schools want to do, including making movies from common digicams....
