Second hand ones are available from the Computer Broker.
I got one for $25

We specifically need a 10 metre CAT5 to go from 'the hole in the wall' to the 
switch/hub in the computer room. Then the network feed to the hall will be 
alive all the time.

I'm sure we could arrange this with the hall management. The cupboard in the 
computer room would be suitable provided we can get a key to it.

I have the time, but not the cash, to organize all this.
