When I was running the red hat with planet-ccrma kernel it detected the MIDI
port,
It allowed me to select it in Rosegarden...

It pretty much gave me all the info about the midi port but I wasn't able to
record any MIDI events.
So whether that qualifies it as a goer or not.. I'm not sure.

My laptop piii 700 with 256 RAM runs rosegarden fine.
