But people should be aware of the considerable speed penalty when running 
any program under/inside an emulator. Use of the kqemu kernel module is 
said to improve matters, but its installation is far from simple.
 
It is claimed [1] that it's possible to run many operating sytsems inside 
the qemu emulation. That said, I wonder what people have managed in 
practice?

Specifically, has anybody got either XP-Home or XP-Pro to run, however 
slowly?
