I have bought one of these but have been unable to get anything to print
except the test page. I tried Epson's PIPS driver but had no joy and I
thought I had updated CUPS but apparently not. My previous Epson 760 has
worked perfectly. What am I doing wrong?

I've just got an Epson R210 inkjet for She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed, and we're
both pleased with it. She drives it with Mandrake 10.1; I've got Ubuntu
5.04; both of us use CUPS. If Epson's figures are accurate, its
cost-per-page should be a lot lower than older generation inkjets. It
was $200 at Warehouse Stationery.
(If you can't find an R210 driver, the R200 driver is identical. I've
found Epson generally supportive of Linux.)
