You'd think so wouldn't you. To paraphase a recent /. post this illustrates the absurd litigious reactionaryism of the current media industry. The legal argument is copyright. The economic arguments are (1) selling the listings is a source of revenue, but I suspect not a biggy, and (2) EPG's enable people to use PVR's like mythtv, MCE, etc. PVR's enable people to skip past the ads.
