Indeed, it's an Open Protocol, which means that you can *know* where your traffic is going, as opposed to Skype, where you can only do traffic analysis on encrypted datastreams on your machine. Note that Gizmo isn't Open Source - so you don't know what it's doing. However, you *do* know what the SIP protocol is doing :-) which sort-of makes up for it. -jim
