Thanks. But Helix is an attack forensic tool, and the other article is about the same sort of forensics tools. I'm wondering about rescue liveCDs for systems needing electronic ER.
BTW, if anybody's interested, I tried mdir and mcopy from my Knoppix session to a FAT-formatted floppy, and got an "input/output error". I'm starting to worry it's actually a bus problem, and that the MB's destined for the great bit-bucket in the sky sooner rather than later. (shrugs) Oh well, I can always email the text I was working on, to myself, and let the email system save it for me. Won't be the first time! Just means there's a lot of email to myself I'll have to junk when I finally get my system up and running again. ;) Wesley Parish Quoting Christopher Sawtell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > On Saturday 18 February 2006 20:00, Wesley Parish wrote: > > Does anyone know of such a creature? > http://www.e-fense.com/helix/contents.php > Also see:- > http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/library/l-livecddiag/ > -- > CS > "Sharpened hands are happy hands.
