Wrong conclusion. AMD64 is go out of the box, personally tested with nforce4 chipset (but don't even think of getting nforce430 or some such, you will end up nailing the mobo to the wall). nvidia geforce 6600 chip graphics card is plug'n'go too with xorg and open source driver, replacing that with the nvidia driver took one click, all stable, all go, no problems. SATA also plug'n'go, but on no account would I use the BIOS-mobo-raid. Some cheap single-core socket 939 job can trivially be replaced by a faster dual-core for only twice the price.
