I would like to respond to some of the replies I have had re my computer running slower in windows. There are a number of reasons why I am still using Windows, the main one being that I do not have connection to the internet and there are kids who use the computer who are not familiar with the interface. To be honest I am not familiar with it either and while I do not mind change I am finding it quite hard to play music (it will not play my files) download photos (only works on USB 1.0)
While I appreciate the help that I have got I would prefer not to be coaxed or bullied not to use Windows. I will make the transition in my own time. So to get back to my point things have slowed down in Windows the main one being media players (which I have a few) of playing media files seem to take longer to load and play. Dave kirk is going to help in the next few days with my Urbuntu functions, in the mean time (and until I am comfortable I will be using both systems) Thank you again for your help and keep uptyhe help for new users like me.
