I could be out of my leauge here, but i'm trying to get my Mepis box to act as
a gateway for the rest of the house to the net.
Eth0 is configured as the connection to the net using my cable modem fixed
IP . Eth1 i set up as 192.168.0.1 and cant find any tools to set up a DHCP
server, or to pass traffic through my machine between the internet and the
LAN.
Could someone give me a clue what i should be looking for, and/or how to make
this work?
I hope you got a solution Chris. But if not, I can recommend the
Firestarter firewall package as a very easy GUI way of enabling a
gateway for specified other machines to route through. (someone confirm
its availability for Mepis?)
We will be using this program to set up our wireless network at Freenix
in Sydenham tonight, if you'd like a demo.
Cheers,
