I will be giving a half-hour talk on a few command line commands.

I will be explaining the concepts of the fundamental program ideas behind a 
filter program and how to create chains of piped programs.

The following is a partial list of the used files, terms and utilities:
 cat, cut, expand, fmt, head, hexdump, join, nl, paste, pr, sed, sort,
 split, tac, tail, tr, unexpand, uniq, wc

I will generate a transcript of my keystrokes which can be available to the 
audience from my ThinkPad, either by http or USB memory-stick.

I will also be demonstrate the kttsd text to speech system, so I would be 
very grateful if somebody could bring a small amplifier and speaker(s)

There will also be time for a Fix-Fest after the supper/coffee break, so 
please bring in those recalcitrant machines.

To date iirc, 
1) Barry would appreciate some help with setting up MythTV on his Mandr... 
machine.

2) Bernard want's a bit of hands on help setting up his camera.

3) I would appreciate some clues about getting the hotkey functions 
initiated by the Fn keys on my R40 ThinkPad to go properly.

4) A. N. Other needs ..... Please add.
