Actually I believe that most nVidia cards that you will buy these days have mpeg-2 decoding built in. I could check my advisers on the mythtv list if anyone wants details. mpeg-2 is what is on DVD's (although not the new formats - Blu-RAY etc) and is also the format of digital TV, such as we have it in NZ. It is also the native recording format of the very good hauppauge PVR-150/250/350/500 TV/video capture cards. Therefore, depending on the use you put the machine to, mpeg decoding can be useful. -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
