 *the programming skill you have at hand

You were talking about style, true. But your two crucial ideas were:

Stretching them a bit, python is good because it is so easy
(comparitively) to write *and* to read. Because of its inherent
readability, the review/update/debug cycle becomes more efficient.

I was being cheeky really. And I'm not intimidated by your PhD either :-)
