Eak, sorry Rik, forgot all about the green room... that's another
fantastic idea as well.
There are a few gaps in the Lib time table so that might be a benefit as
well.
Cheers Don

Hello,
I am trying to get help with about 4 high school children in my
Gifted and Talented Group, aged about13 14 to get them into the
linux scene.
Is there anyone out there who is prpared to spend some time with them
to teach them about Linux?
Isee that we would probably come to Chch for a session say from 11 am
to 2 pm and they would get as much instuction as they could in that
time. As we live in the Oxford area we would need to come during the
school day if that is possible.
We are looking for a donation of time and expertise to get tem
started as we do not have any money in our budget.
If you are able to help I can be contacted on 03 312 8010 or at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help.
Thanking you in anticipation

Just to write out the invite made to Errol at the Freenix workshop May
4th, where two Ubuntu disk sets were supplied..
We are set up with an online demo Ubuntu/FreeBSD box to gather around
in the Green Room at 16 Bedford Row, Chch, which is open 10am-2pm
Mon-Sat. This machine is accessible with free tuition during the hours
you mention, any Wednesday you like or other days by arrangement. The
Green Party is listed in the phone book, should you wish to phone ahead.
Another option would be for a group of us to bring laptops & projector
out to you, so that parents and teachers might see the software
demonstration too.
Regards,
