This should hopefully answer both Steve and Nick's emails. The modules
"linux-restricted-modules-blah" Steve asks about are installed.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/lib/modules$ find | grep ath_pci

./2.6.15-23-386/madwifi/ath_pci.ko

./2.6.15-23-386/madwifi-ng/new_ath_pci.ko

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/lib/modules$ dpkg -S
/lib/modules/2.6.15-23-386/madwifi/ath_pci.ko

linux-restricted-modules-2.6.15-23-386:
/lib/modules/2.6.15-23-386/madwifi/ath_pci.ko

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/lib/modules$ dpkg -S
/lib/modules/2.6.15-23-386/madwifi-ng/new_ath_pci.ko

linux-restricted-modules-2.6.15-23-386:
/lib/modules/2.6.15-23-386/madwifi-ng/new_ath_pci.ko

So then I tried running "modprobe ath_pci" and variations, and insmod.
Best result I get is:

insmod: error inserting 'ath_pci.ko': -l Unknown symbol in module

Perhaps this is because there is a minor mismatch between my kernel
version and that of the found/installed modules?

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/lib/modules$ uname -r

2.6.15-26-386

Where to now?
Roger
