Thanks Hads and Nick - that was exactly what I needed.  Adept was only
reporting the older module version as being available, a little googling
soon found the one that matches my kernel and getting the .deb file
installed was a piece of cake.

I've done a modprobe and got the card functioning last night - well
almost.  Both lights come on, dmesg is reporting the correct card,
chipset and speed options.  Great learning, now I understand modules
much better!

I'm not quite there - it goes looking for my router but doesn't get an
ip address.  That's for sorting out tomorrow maybe, I've got a few
things to check out, and I'll start a new thread if I can't get it sorted.
